One day old, brown egg layer.
 
A very competitve brown egg layer, these hens mature at about 4.5 pounds. Mild mannered, they are a deep black hen with reddish cast over the face and into the breast feathers. The large males are similar to the Barred Rock in their color pattern. (EAGLE NEST POULTRY)
